BELLE'S STORY
Belle is a Contemporary Abstract Artist, working in acrylics with pops of colour in oil pastels.
Having lived and worked in London for over twenty years, Belle left the bustle of the TV world to return home to Shropshire. Having now raised a family and left full time employment behind she has more time to spend on her love of painting. Having been tempted by a succession of evening courses at Central St Martins while working in TV production in Soho, she was keen to reignite her passion.
Belle's process involves building up and scraping back the layers to explore colour and texture. The process finds and loses images, shapes and colours as the layers are defined.
"I am drawn to the colours of nature, the landscapes of Shropshire. However I am constantly trying to move forward with my work and in so doing I am becoming more experimental with colour and texture."
